Dallin Frampton's Blog
April 12, 2010
Dallin Frampton, a member of the March expedition, has been in Kenya on his own for over a week now.
His sister, Lacee, has taken his emails home to family and created a blog. You can find that blog here: http://www.dallinframpton.blogspot.com/
It is fun to keep up with Dallin's daily activities. He has raised funds to build a school in the village of Dzvani, in the name of his younger brother Austin, who has Down's Syndrome. Dallin is helping to build the mud hut where he will be living until August, when he returns home.
He is experiencing daily life in rural Kenya, and shares those experiences in his blog. It is quite amazing, really, what he has undertaken. I don't know many people who would happily embrace this experience, and commit to it for nearly 5 months.
The summer expedition to Kenya will arrive in July. Several members of Dallin's family will be part of that expedition. His sisters, Lacee and McCall, are making jewelry from Kenyan coins and selling it to raise funds for their trip. You can read more about this at their blog: http://www.changeforkenya.blogspot.com/
Check on Dallin's blog regularly. It is updated often and offers a glimpse into a way of life that few of us can imagine.
