What we do

Education

Koins for Kenya’s primary goal is to provide the much-needed educational opportunities to students in rural villages. We accomplish this via our student scholarship program, which provides financial resources for students in remote villages to attend secondary (high) school, and for students at the Sean Michels school for special needs children. We provide schools with the classrooms, toilets, water cisterns, and desks the students need in order to improve their opportunity for education in a better environment.

Construction

All construction projects – from new classrooms to a few desks – are planned with the help of community leaders. They are managed by our in-country team, and are constructed by skilled builders with the help of local workers and their families. In doing so, this provides an economic boost to the village whilst creating long-lasting structures designed to aid in the learning and success of students and people within the community.

Health

While on expeditions to Kenya, members of the group make a pointed effort to bring products to drop off at local health dispensaries. Items range from low-dose pain medications, bandages, blankets for newborn babies, re-usable sanitary products, and more.
